SASSA Takes Solutions to Fernie Local Community
Tuesday, August 27, 2024
The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers into the community.
SASSA will likely be rendering services such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In an announcement, the agency stated it can be alarmed with regards to the large amount of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The purpose from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some higher variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This really is here mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no fully functional office dedicated to service the area each day. The services stage designed for intervention activities a significant inflow of potential beneficiaries, that makes it difficult for the Workplace to attend to all people who stop by a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more resources to help the servicing of all customers and maximize usage of Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
